Update: The House passed the state labor contracts for AFSCME, IFO, and MAPE.
Today the Omnibus Pension Bill passed off the Senate floor unanimously. However, the House has not yet scheduled a hearing. This is extremely problematic considering that the State Legislature goes on recess next week. We need to get the House of Representatives to take up the issue before it’s too late.
Teamsters Local 320 is in support of the Omnibus Pension bill as it puts $2.3 billion in state aid into Minnesota’s pension systems (MSRS, PERA , SPTRA, and TRA) over a 30-year period.
This bill is the greatest financial investment from the State of Minnesota in over 2 decades and has the potential to bring our pension systems to 100% solvency. However, there's no guarantee it will get passed when the Legislature reconvenes on April 9.
Please consider volunteering to get this very important legislation passed before it's too late!

The Senate also passed the state labor contracts for AFSCME, IFO, and MAPE. Teamsters Local 320 congratulates Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka (GOP-Nisswa) and Senator Julie Rosen (GOP-Vernon Center) for their leadership and bipartisanship.
The House has not scheduled a hearing for the state contracts.
Please see attached for Senators who voted for or against the state contracts.
