Political action is an important part of Teamsters Local 320’s mission to protect and advance the interests of working people. Through Joint Council 32’s DRIVE (Democrat, Republican, Independent Voter Education) program, active and retired Teamster members support pro-worker candidates through volunteer efforts and financial contributions. DRIVE helps mobilize Teamsters and their families to engage in the political process, support endorsed candidates, and advocate for policies that strengthen wages, benefits, workplace protections, and retirement security. By partnering with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters’ National DRIVE program and Joint Council 32 DRIVE, Local 320 helps amplify the voice of working families on key legislative issues at both the state and federal levels.

In this role, Gus helps advance the Teamster mission of electing labor-friendly candidates and advocating for legislation that protects and strengthens the rights of working people.
